NOTE: known issues about email forwarding via owa.seattleu.edu
Forwarded email has your seattleu.edu email address for the reply address for all messages
Forwarded email received in your non-seattleu.edu account will display FW: indicating that the email has been forwarded.
The email sender on forwarded emails will reflect your seattleu.edu email account for the reply address, requiring you to examine each message to find the email address of the original sender located in the body of each message. This is a limitation of the OWA software. It is important to make note of this when you reply to emails forwarded from your seattleu.edu account, becasue hitting the reply button will reply back to your SU account and not the original sender.
You may want to consider using a redirect rule, which will forward all messages in their original form. You can use OWA 2007 to set up a redirect rule; detailed instructions on that process can be found here.
Outlook can also be used to create a redirect rule, and those instructions are here.
We encourage you to stop by the help desk in person and we can assist you in setting up a redirect.
Mac users and other non-Internet Explorer users
Email forwarding is only available to premium OWA users, which requires Microsoft Windows and at least Internet Explorer 6.0. Mac and non-premium OWA users will need to set up forwarding on a Windows computer that meets these requirements.
