If your Nextel BlackBerry fails to send/receive calls, send/receive emails, or update your Calendar, you can perform the following troubleshooting steps.
Confirm network connectivity
Display the Home screen
Ensure that NXTL is displayed in the upper right corner of the screen. (the capitalization of the letters is important)
Try resetting the connections by scrolling to and selecting the Manage Connections option (looks like an antenna). Make sure that the Mobile Network option is checked. If it is not checked, please select and check it. Otherwise, try unchecking and rechecking the Turn All Connections On option.
Reboot the device
- remove the battery cover
- remove the battery
- replace the battery and cover
- if the unit does not power up, manually turn the power on.
8830 model, the power button is located above the screen on the top left of the device.
8330 and 8350i models, the power button is shared with the red 'disconnect call' button.
