Add a network printer in Windows XP

Click on Start -> Run.

Enter your print server and printer information into the "Open:" box.  For example, if your printer server is oitps2 and your printer is prt424, then you would enter \\oitps2\prt424.  After this information has been entered, click OK.

Note:  If you are unsure what your printer information is, try asking a coworker what printer they use

Wait for the printer queue window to appear.  Once it has appeared, the printer is ready for use and you can close the queue.

If you encounter an error message, or are unsure what print server or printer you should be using, please contact the Helpdesk at x5571 or email helpdesk@seattleu.edu
