Getting to Your Quicklinks

  1. Log in to the CMS Workarea at http://www.seattleu.edu/login
  2. Select Library from the bottom left panel
    • The Folder list will update, displaying "Library" as the top item
  3. Navigate to the folder that contains the content that you would like to update
  4. In the right panel, change the drop down to Quicklink
    • The drop down will usually start out with "Images"

Method 1 - Easiest for a single update

  1. Click on the title of the content item whose Quicklink you would like to update
  2. Click on the Edit button
  3. Change the URL lnk to use the template that you want
    • NOTE: When updating the quicklink using this method, you need to be sure to keep everything after .aspx
      • Example:
        • For /department/default.aspx?id=100, you will use /department/newpage.aspx?id=100
    • NOTE: Be careful to include the top level folder.
      • Example:
        • For http://www.seattleu.edu/department/default.aspx you will use department/default.aspx.
  4. Click on the Update button

Method 2 - Easiest for multiple updates in a single folder

  1. Click on the Update Quicklink button along the top of the right panel
  2. Update the From: textbox to reflect the quicklink to be replaced
  3. Update the To: textbox to reflect the quicklink to be used
  4. Click the check box next to the pages to update
    • NOTE: You do not need to worry about the id=??? portion of the link when updating multiple quicklinks
    • NOTE: If the current quicklink does not match the From textbox, it will not be updated
  5. Click on the Update Quicklink button

Testing Your Changes

  • Navigate to your page using a menu on the live website that uses quicklinks
    • This will be most menus
