How to use SUOnline?

Office of the Registrar Knowledge Base Article: How do I register for courses?

Holds

Holds can be viewed on SUOnline under ‘Student Restrictions.’ Possible restrictions include, but are not limited to, advising meetings, library fees, parking fees and outstanding financial balances.  These restrictions must be ended by the department who assigned the restriction before registration can proceed. Closed Courses

Please visit the Student Academic Services website for instructions on how to enter a closed course. 

Core Solution Center

The Core Solution Center handles all of the core courses. They are located in the atrium of the University Services Building, only during registration week. Go to your School or College for help outside of the Core Solution Center Hours or for help with registering for a Core Interdisciplinary or Senior Synthesis course.

Course Overload

Students who have a sophomore standing or above and have earned a minimum of 3.50 CUM GPA, may take up to 20 credits per quarter. Permission to take more than 20 credits is granted by the Associate Dean or Undergraduate Director using the Petition to the Dean – Registration form.

Independent Study/
Internships

Pass/Fail Courses

The pass/fail grading option for courses which will be used towards general electives or minors only. Core courses, college requirements, and major requirements cannot be taken pass/fail. Auditing a Course

Auditing a course is available for students who wish to take a course for content only, not for credit. Since you receive no credit, audited courses will not count towards any degree requirements. You will receive a “Y” grade on your transcript which does not affect your grade point average. (Auditing An Undergraduate Course (97-7)) Contact Student Financial Services about tuition questions  - financialservices@seattleu.edu

Take a Departmental Manual Registration Form to the department offering the course. If approved, the department will register you.
